DESCRIPTION:American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Health Care Provider\nWednesday\, January 11\, 2023 from 6 – 10 p.m.\nAt the Southold Town Recreation Center\n970 Peconic Lane\, Peconic\, NY 11958\nWith Chris Manfredi of the Southold Fire Department \nNorth Fork Women will sponsor members who sign up for this course (usually $65 for residents or $75 for non-residents.) Preregistration by Friday\, 1/6/23 is required. \nThe CPR course covers: \n\nAmerican Heart Association Adult/Infant and Child CPR\nForeign body airway obstruction in conscious and unconscious patients\nUse of barrier protection (pocket masks)\nBag valve mask ventilation (BVM’s) and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator are covered in this course.\n\nThere is a written and skills evaluation for this program. Students will receive the BLS for Health Care Provider Course Certification along with a study guide. \nThis course will satisfy the requirements of Certification for many First Responders\, EMS\, Fire\, EMT\, Paramedic\, Nurse\, Doctor or Lifeguard.
