Bernadette Hoban

2019 President Bernadette Hoban

Happy December everyone! Ready or not, the holiday season is here and in just a few weeks , we will turn the page and welcome in 2020.

With the end of 2019 also comes the end of my term as President. It has been a privilege and a honor to serve NFWFWF in this capacity. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet a lot of you during the course of the year. I will remain on the board in 2020 to offer my assistance wherever it is needed.

As I look back at what was a busy and successful 2019, I am confident that our organization is on course and moving in the right direction while staying true to its mission.

The incoming President is Chris P’Simer. Chris has been on the board for over a year and has been a great asset to our organization. I’ve been fortunate to work closely with Chris during 2019, and I am very confident that our organization will thrive under her leadership.

I would also like to thank the entire NFWFWF board and our Program Manager, Barb Pfanz for their unwavering dedication to our organization and always answering the call and getting the job done for the organization. We are truly blessed to have you and for that I am grateful.

I hope you can attend our Annual Meeting on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Pace’s Dockside in Mattituck. At this meeting you will have the opportunity to meet Chris along with our full board including NFWFWF’s two newest board members, Kikka Harrison and Lori Panarello. We will report our 2019 accomplishments and our plans for 2020 and beyond. The Annual meeting also offers members the opportunity to bring new ideas and suggestions to the board as we continue to seek new ways to assist our community. We hope you can join us celebrate the new year and to help make 2020 even better.

By now, you may have received NFWFWF’s year end appeal — amongst all of the other requests for your support. We hope that you will consider NFWFWF in your year end giving. As you know, NFWFWF is funded solely by the continued generosity of its members. Without your support we cannot continue to provide the services and grants, to our community

I wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season and a very happy and healthy new year.
