Beva Eastman

December 21, 1939 — December 30, 2020

Founding Mother of the North Fork Women for Women Fund, Open Meadows and Astraea Foundations, died peacefully after a short illness on December 30, 2020

Beva was an activist, philanthropist of women’s and girl’s empowerment, racial equality and justice.

She was pre-deceased by her lifelong partner, playwright, and activist Nancy Dean.

Beva will be missed.
