Become a HelpHer Volunteer

NFWFWF is asking for your help. More specifically, one of your lesbian sisters here on the North Fork may need your help.

As we all move along in years, some of us may be encountering difficulties. Walking the dog, changing the batteries in the smoke alarms, driving to a doctor’s appointment, taking out the garbage, cooking a hot meal — at times these simple tasks may prove overwhelming for any one of us, whether through injury, sickness, depression or aging.

HelpHer, a NFWFWF committee, aims to re-energize one of the intrinsic points of NFWFWF’s charter, which is to provide personal, confidential  support to North Fork lesbians who need assistance.

While we all enjoy the parties, fund-raisers, get-togethers and fantastic annual auction, certain needs may be going unseen and unmet.

We, the HelpHer committee, are calling on all of you to lend a hand to us, and to your sisters. If you can volunteer to help out one of your NFWFWF sisters occasionally, once a month or whenever, we want to hear from you!

Please respond to this request with a “Yes” and include your email and mailing address so that HelpHer can contact you with an information packet.
